• POCO announced the M6 Pro, a new smartphone with some familiar-looking characteristics, in India. The phone has an amazing 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 CPU. A 50MP dual rear camera is part of its camera setup, and the phone has a sturdy 5,000mAh battery that is supported by an 18W fast charging system. • Verdict
• Despite the POCO M6 Pro’s resemblance to the Redmi 12 5G, it shows itself to be a powerful gadget. The dual-tone design of the phone is notable and enhances its appeal. The phone also provides steady performance for critical tasks and consistently maintains a solid battery life. The auxiliary camera and charging times fall short of expectations, despite the primary camera’s excellent performance in daytime.

 

• Display and design
• The POCO M6 Pro’s design sets it apart from the Redmi 12 5G, despite the fact that the differences may be minor. The POCO M6 Pro has a dual-tone finish rather than a single tone and a rectangular camera bar that runs across the top of the flat back surface. The phone is available in the colors Power Black and Forest Green. The Power Black model that I was sent for review has a grayish tint on the rectangular bar. This undoubtedly enhances the phone’s appeal in general.
• Between the two gadgets, that is the only significant distinction. The M6 Pro has a glass back, two camera rings, and an LED flash ring, all of which are similar to those of the Redmi 12 5G. The phone has a plastic body, an in-line fingerprint scanner on the side, and is splash resistant to IP53 standards. On the top edge are a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster, while the bottom edge has a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and more. A dedicated slot for a microSD card is absent from the POCO M6 Pro. The secondary SIM card slot is still available for one to be inserted into.
• The POCO M6 Pro 5G has a 6.71-inch FHD+ 90Hz refresh rate display with a selfie camera positioned in the center of the punch-hole. The display appears attractive both inside and outside. For the price, it provides 550 nits of maximum brightness, which looks respectable. The viewing angles are considerably constrained because it is an LCD panel. • Final judgment
  In practically every way, the POCO M6 Pro closely resembles the Redmi 12 5G. The base 4GB RAM edition of the phone is priced at Rs. 10,999, while the 6GB RAM option is available for Rs. 12,999. This similarity even extends to cost. Naturally, the Redmi 12 5G emerges as this smartphone’s main rival. The Infinix Hot 30 5G, a handset with a huge 6,000mAh battery and a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, is another product that competes with the M6 Pro.
